BBC News & Info 2009: June 13, 2009 Wheeler
|

The black cloud tournament director is back!!!! Blast off was met with threatening clouds and lightning. The weather changed hourly, but most anglers prevailed with a limit. Chris Wiemer won his 1st tournament of the year with 5 fish at 16.85lbs with a big largemouth at 4.44lbs. JD broke out of his 2009 slump and had a five fish limit at 11.64lbs to take 2nd place. Kelly White came into some money for the first time this year with 5 fish at 10.52lbs, out of the back of Mr. Wiemer’s boat. Thanks to everyone that showed up and helped out.
The next tournament is on September 12th at Guntersville, I hope to see you there.

It was a bright beautiful high 80’s day at Lay Lake. We got to share the lake with all the pontoons, jet skies and Ski boats Lay Lake has to offer. Bruce Sargent, in his first club tournament of the year ended up with 5 fish that went 14.71lbs and had biggest fish (largemouth) that was 6.16lbs. Scott Holmes came in second with 5 fish that went 12.53lbs and had a largemouth that went 5.53lbs. The leader of the Angler of the Year Race, Mr. John Nolan came in third with 5 fish that went 11.45lbs. I want to thank everyone who participated in the tournament and hope to see you at Wheeler.

BBC News & Info 2009: April 25-26, 2009 Alabama River
|

First two day of the year and No rain, No thunderstorms, No tornados, No broken boats and No 100 MPH winds!!! It turned out to be a beautiful 80 degree weekend and beautiful fishing. 14 out of 16 people had limits each day and from what I heard most were culling both days. Mr. Scott Holmes (Zebra Jet) was the winner at Cooters Pond with 10 fish at 24.92lbs for two days, congratulations. Bobby McDonald came in 2nd with 10 fish at 22.87lbs. A very close 3rd place was Sonny Burroughs with 10 fish at 22.80lbs, with Dave Johnson right there behind them with 10 fish at 22.70lbs in 4th place. Bill Kervaski finished out the top 5 with 10 fish at 21.48lbs. Thanks to everyone who could make it to the Spring two day and I appreciate all the help I received putting on this event. Also we decided to put a pot together for total boat weight for the two days and Sonny and Jeff (Prospect) won that with 44.48lbs and with Dave J. and Chris W. coming in 2nd with 43.30lbs.

BBC News & Info 2009: March 28, 2009 Neely Henry
|

Just call me the Black Cloud TD!!!! Again, all of us watched a severe thunderstorms in the works for Saturday March 28th. So we had to make a call, if we were going to try to fish in bad weather again or change the date of the tournament. So we made the call to change it to Sunday, it looked like the right move at the time. Until Saturday showed up and it turned out to be a nice day. THANKS AGAIN WEATHER CHANNEL…. We did unfortunately have 3 people who could not fish due to the change and I am sorry about that. We still did have a nice turn out with 8 boats, but one did not make it from the ramp. Mr. John Nolan (2 tournaments, 2 wins) came in with 15.73lbs and a 5.8lbs largemouth to win the tournament and have big fish. 2nd place Mr. Charles Rosato, came in with 14.11lbs and a 5.28 largemouth. Mr. Chris Wiemar came in with 5 fish at 9.41 to place 3rd.

BBC News & Info 2009: February 28, 2009 Lake Jordan
|

Lake Jordan, probably one of the most interesting starts to a BBC season. Thunder, lightning, water moving at 50 mph, docks being flooded and a extreme down pour for about a hour, just for starters. But we did get out and fish and it turned out to be a pretty good day for some. Mr. John (I know everything) Nolan came in with the only 5 fish limit out of 26 people at 11.60lbs. Mr. Dave (I don’t throw a jig) Johnson came in second with 3 fish at 10.03lbs. Then Bill (too cheap to buy anyone lunch) Kervaski who came in third with 3 fish at 8.68lbs. Interestingly, we have a tie for Big Spot/Smallmouth for the year with TWO 4.49lb spots caught by Chris Wiemar and Ryan Hermecz. I also wanted to say thanks to everyone for being patient with the situation and helping to make this tournament still happen.
