I don't think Doug has lost any weight! As for the fish...it is my biggest Bass to date. 7.22 pounds! Caught today at Guntersville in a Blount County tournament.

Oh by the way, Dave & JD won with over 22 pounds. Second was 21 and change. Chris Wiemar and I managed third with just four fish that went 17.62 pounds.

Long story. But to cut it short as best I remember:

I wanted to go back out to do some more research on a problem I have been having with my side image unit, so I told Sonny I would leave the boat in the water and he could go weigh the fish (big stringer Embarassed ).

SO, we bagged up the fish and I asked Sonny hold them while I moved up to the dock. Then I asked him if he could get them on the dock or needed help, he said he was ok. We were about two feet off the dock when, while I wasn't watching and the boat was still slowly moving, Sonny lifted the bag of fish on the dock with one hand and tried to hold the dock with the other. Shocked As a consequence, his motion and force pushed the boat away from the dock and he ended up stretching out and pushing it further away. In an effort to keep him from going in the water, I reached over and grabbed a dock post. However, Sonny was then past the point of no return and slung the bag of fish back into the boat and went in the water pushing the boat away from the dock some more (got this picture?) Rolling Eyes By that time, I was past the point of no return and went in also. Embarassed Damn Ranger is hard to move by yourself in that position. Looked like Comedy Central Very Happy . Sonny went in over his head and I only went in up to my shoulders. At least no one got hurt, and I got to try out the e-ladder which works quite well. Wink

SO, the bottom line was: we got up way too early, did very poorly catching fish, fell in the water, and got to pay $40 for the privilege. Laughing Laughing Laughing

First time I have ever heard of both partners going in the drink while at the dock Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Would have made a great TV short flick on how not to get your fish out of the boat and on the dock. OH WELL, stuff happens.

You know it was. Life and limb but not the gel coat! At least for Sonny anyway. He knew he was better off dying or maiming himself than scratching the new boat.
I remember the wrath when I popped the cherry on your last Ranger. And what's funny, I bet you remember where we were and what I did too, don't you?

Nope. Don't remember. But, I'm sure it ticked me off. Evil or Very Mad

Sonny knows about sacrifice for God and country. However, this was truly not the case this time.
